Eligibility

ars – berlin is looking forward to welcoming highly qualified and motivated architecture students in their Master program who want to add a competitive edge to their academic profiles. Applicants should have completed at least three years of study respectively their bachelor degree.

Sustainable design addresses life in a multitude of different ways. There is always the conceptual level, which looks at the impact, decisions do have on a social level and thean the environmental edge of building adds numbers and figures to the scenario.

The summer academy ars berlin aims to not only talk about ideas but also verifies those when it comes to the energy performance of the design. Design especially is looked at as a result of dealing with social, economical and last not least ecological parameters.

Even so this is not a prerequisite to take part at our program, we do appreciate a basic knowledge in handling building modelling software like Revit and tools like Ecotect which do allow us to cross reference design and energy performance as we do develop schematic design.

Registration

In order to register we request a short essay outlining the expected results accomplished by participating at our program. Furthermore you should send us your cv. Please make sure your cv does indicate your experience in CAD, computer graphics and if possible the use of energy performance tools.
